The 6 way group buy is now building the drift car (once two of the main members pays off their speeding tickets). Here is the checklist of things to do/buy/plans

Bilstein HD Struts/Coils to replace worn to death current stuff

Lots of Tires/20W50/gas (regular maintenance)

Vacuum leak fix.

Full FIA or Formula D spec cage (preferably FIA as I actually want to rally this, Caswell Style). Parent’s dad is actual going to weld it. He's a pro welder.

And the inevitable junkyard engine swap coming up in the future when we blow this engine.

Also something we will probably be doing. we’re going to be drifting this at Sonoma/Sears Point/Infineon Raceway and I live 30 minutes from there. Explains the FIA spec

Could always do both - enter LeMons as a drifter!

Either way, this looks to be a very interesting project.

Unless you know when it was changed last, change the timing belt and waterpump asap to avoid said inevitable junkyard engine swap for as long as possible.
